TVBA Application & Membership Details
Membership in the Top of Virginia Building Association is open to anyone who works in, or with the construction industry, or anyone who simply wants to support this lynchpin of our economy. Membership in the TVBA includes automatic membership in the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of Virginia!
TVBA members can take advantage of our expert knowledge when it comes to product research, building code information, and economic data. Our organization is composed of industry experts on topics relating to the building industry. We also have opportunities to assist with marketing and business networking. Our members do business with members. Expand your business network at meetings and events. Sponsor education and events. These are just some ways to profit from your membership by building relationships that work. Be the voice of your industry!
There are three categories of membership to fit any interest. Each member identifies a contact within their company to represent them at the local level. Information, updates and event details are shared with this contact who then takes responsibility for letting others in their company know what’s going on with our organization. Additional representatives can be identified by the member and would fall under the Affiliate Member category.
Builders are directly involved in building . They include small-volume builders, production builders, commercial builders and remodelers.
Associate members provide products or services to builders. They sell lumber, windows, appliances, etc. or offer services such as mortgage finance.
The affiliate member category identifies an additional representative for an already existing member company. It enables the employees of builder and associate members to reap the rewards membership at a fraction of the cost.
The Top of Virginia Building Association works on behalf of the industry as a whole, advocating for public policies that promote a healthy building climate. The success of this governance structure is predicated on a commitment by our membership to actively engage in policy discussions, direction and advocacy. We work with local jurisdictions in the development of regulations, codes, and standards that make common sense and make housing affordable.
